| Stage | When | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Rough clean | Once the main trades finish | Clears debris, packaging and heavy dust, so finishing trades and inspections are easier |
| Final clean | Before inspection or practical completion | Details surfaces, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, glass, frames and floors |
| Touch-up | After defects are fixed, just before handover | Removes new dust and marks left by the last trades |
What to send before you book
- Site address, floor area and project type
- Target dates for each stage
- Site safety plan and induction requirements
- Access, parking and hoist or lift details
- Whether water, power and rubbish disposal are available on site
- Any special finishes that need particular care
Keep the last clean last
Dust settles after a clean, so a final clean loses its value if trades are still sanding or drilling nearby. Let your cleaner know about schedule changes early, and keep a little time for a touch-up.
